About Course
In the title, the word 'Parampara' signifies an uninterrupted succession, a tradition passed down through generations, and the second set of words, Sutra Sahitya, or the literature of aphorisms, is a unique literary style in Indian tradition designed to convey profound truths in concise, memorable statements.
In today's fast-paced world, the sutras, especially Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, offer timeless guidance for a balanced and harmonious life. Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, composed around the 2nd century BCE, is a seminal text in the yoga tradition. It comprises 196 sutras divided into four chapters: Samadhi Pada, Sadhana Pada, Vibhuti Pada, and Kaivalya Pada. Each chapter addresses different aspects of yoga, from the practice and discipline to the ultimate goal of self-realization.
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras were created to provide a clear, structured, and comprehensive guide to the philosophy and practice of yoga. The concise and systematic approach of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra helps practitioners understand and apply the teachings of yoga in a practical and meaningful way.
